The International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea is an independent judicial body established under the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea to adjudicate disputes over the Convention's interpretation and application, including maritime boundary delimitation, navigation, fisheries and marine resource management, and protection of the marine environment.
