Boualem Bouguetaia is an Algerian jurist who has served as a judge of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea since 2008, and served as its Vice-President from 2014 to 2017. He took part in drafting the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea and later presided over the Tribunal's Special Chamber that decided the maritime boundary dispute between Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire. He has also served as an ambassador and legal adviser for Algeria.
