Liesbeth Lijnzaad is a Dutch jurist and professor who has served as a judge of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea since 2017, becoming the first Dutch judge on the Tribunal, and has presided over its Chamber for Marine Environment Disputes since 2023. She previously headed the International Law Department of the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, serving as the ministry's principal legal adviser. She holds a doctorate in international law from Maastricht University.
