All Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh) Scholars

Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh) Scholars gathers the jurists, judges and legal theorists of the Islamic legal tradition, spanning the formative first Islamic centuries through the classical schools of law and into the Ottoman and modern periods. Because fiqh scholarship spans well over a thousand years and multiple distinct schools of legal reasoning, this group is broken into a second level below it: the four surviving Sunni schools of law (Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi'i and Hanbali), the smaller Zahiri school, the Shia and Ibadi traditions, and the early formative-era jurists whose work predates or is not tied to one named school.
