The Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation is the highest court of Argentina, a last-resort tribunal whose rulings cannot be appealed, empowered to interpret the constitution and to invalidate legislation it finds unconstitutional. Inaugurated on 15 January 1863 and seated in the Palacio de Justicia in Buenos Aires, it currently has five justices, appointed by the President with the agreement of at least two thirds of the Senate.
