The Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia, known in Indonesian as the Mahkamah Agung Republik Indonesia, is the independent judicial arm of the Indonesian state. It maintains a system of courts and sits above every other court as the final court of appeal, and it can also re-examine cases when new evidence emerges.
