Zoraida Ávalos Rivera, born June 14, 1957, in Callao, is a Peruvian jurist who served as the country's Attorney General, Fiscal de la Nación, from January 8, 2019 to March 30, 2022. She had previously been a member of the Board of Supreme Prosecutors from December 18, 2013 to June 21, 2023. In June 2023 the Peruvian Congress voted to disqualify her from public office for five years over alleged constitutional violations in her handling of the Attorney General's duties; the National Board of Justice later absolved her in a disciplinary proceeding, finding she had acted within her powers to authorize investigations.
