Udo Steiner, born 1939 in Bayreuth, is a German jurist who served as a justice of Germany Federal Constitutional Court from 1995 to 2007. Before his appointment he held professorships in public law and served as dean at two law faculties, and after leaving the court he became an ombudsman for Deutsche Bahn handling complaints from railway accident victims.
