Theodor Meron is an American jurist and legal scholar who was elected a judge of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia by the United Nations General Assembly in March 2001 and served multiple terms as its President. A leading scholar of international humanitarian and human rights law, he also sat on the Appeals Chamber shared with the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda.
