Rhona Fetzer is a German judge born September 18, 1963 in Reutlingen who has served as a justice of the Second Senate of the Federal Constitutional Court since January 11, 2023. She studied law at the University of Konstanz, earned her doctorate there in 1994 on state liability for legislative wrongdoing, and entered Baden-Wurttemberg's higher judicial service in 1992, serving as prosecutor and judge at the Baden-Baden regional court and the Achern and Rastatt district courts. She was seconded to the Federal Court of Justice as a research assistant, became presiding judge at Karlsruhe Regional Court in 2003, moved to the Karlsruhe Higher Regional Court in 2008, and was appointed a judge of the Federal Court of Justice's Eighth Civil Senate in 2009, later becoming a presiding judge there before her election to the constitutional court.
