Platon Dmitrievich Morozov, who lived from 1906 to 1986, was a Soviet jurist and diplomat specializing in international law who worked at the USSR's General Prosecutor's Office and took part in the 1946 Tokyo Trials as a member of the Soviet delegation. He represented the Soviet Union at the UN Commission on Human Rights from 1951 to 1968 and served as the Soviet Union's deputy representative on the UN Security Council from 1960 to 1968. He was elected a judge of the International Court of Justice in 1969, serving until his retirement for health reasons in August 1985; he died the following year.
