Pedro Cruz Villalon, born in 1946, is a Spanish jurist who served as an Advocate General at the European Court of Justice and, from 1998 to 2001, as president of Spain's Constitutional Court. His career placed him at the center of both Spain's constitutional order and the European Union's judicial system, and in 2001 he received the Hijo Predilecto de Andalucia award recognizing his standing within Spanish legal circles and his native region.
