Nazim Hussain Siddiqui

Nazim Hussain Siddiqui (30 June 1940 to 15 January 2022) was the nineteenth Chief Justice of Pakistan's Supreme Court, serving from 31 December 2003 to 29 June 2005 after his appointment by President Pervez Musharraf following the seventeenth constitutional amendment. Born in Muradabad, he earned his BA and LLB from the University of Hyderabad and an LLM from the University of Karachi, and began his judicial career in 1961. He had earlier served as Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court from 1999 to 2000, and was noted as one of the few Pakistani or Indian judges to have risen from civil judge all the way to Chief Justice.
