Miatta Maria Samba is a Sierra Leonean jurist who has served as a judge of the International Criminal Court since 11 March 2021. Born in 1971, her earlier career included work as a prosecution lawyer at the Special Court for Sierra Leone, a law lecturer, an ICC field office staff member in Uganda, a senior prosecutor for Sierra Leone Anti-Corruption Commission, and a judge on Sierra Leone High Court and Court of Appeal. She was also appointed to the Residual Special Court for Sierra Leone and took leave from a concurrent seat on Sierra Leone Supreme Court in August 2021 to continue her ICC service.
