Martin Eifert is a German judge born in Frankfurt am Main in 1965 who has served as a justice of the First Senate of the Federal Constitutional Court since February 2023. He studied law in Hamburg and Geneva, earned an LLM from the University of California, Berkeley, and a doctorate and habilitation from the University of Hamburg. He worked as a consultant at Boston Consulting Group and as a policy officer at the Hans Bredow Institute for Media Research, and held professorships at Justus Liebig University Giessen and, from 2012, Humboldt University Berlin, where he served as dean of the law faculty, before his appointment to the constitutional court.
