Louis Ignacio-Pinto, who lived from June 21, 1903, in Porto-Novo, to May 24, 1984, in Dourdan, France, was a politician from Benin, then Dahomey, who served in the French Senate from 1947 to 1955. He later served as Dahomey's first permanent representative to the United Nations and as its ambassador to the United States from 1961 to 1967, and as chief justice of the Supreme Court of Dahomey from 1967 to 1970. He was a judge of the International Court of Justice from 1970 to 1979.
