International Court of Justice Judges: Western Europe and Other States

International Court of Justice Judges: Western Europe and Other States gathers the judges of the International Court of Justice who sit as members representing the Western European and Other States regional group in the United Nations' own practice for electing the court, one of the five regional groups this parent group is split into because the International Court of Justice has sat continuously since 1946 with a bench that has always reflected every major region of the world. The Other States of this group's name are, by long United Nations convention, the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, so its members include jurists from France, Germany, Britain, Italy, the Netherlands and other Western European states alongside jurists from the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
