Josef Marquard Wintrich was a German legal scholar and judge who served as the second President of the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany from 1954 until his death in 1958. Born on 15 February 1891 in Munich, he studied law at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, and his presidency saw the landmark 1956 decision banning the Communist Party of Germany. He died on 19 October 1958 in Ebersberg.
