Javed Iqbal (born 1 August 1946 in Quetta) is a Pakistani jurist who served as acting Chief Justice of Pakistan from 9 to 24 March 2007, during the presidential reference filed against Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, and is counted among the numbered holders of the office on that basis. He was Senior Justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan from 2000 to 2011, having earlier served as Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court in 2000, and later chaired Pakistan's National Accountability Bureau from 2017 to 2022. He holds degrees from the University of the Punjab, the University of Western Australia, and the International Islamic University, and worked as a law professor.
