Heinrich Amadeus Wolff

Heinrich Amadeus Wolff is a German judge born in Heidelberg in June 1965 who has served as a justice of the First Senate of the Federal Constitutional Court since June 2022. He passed his first state law examination at Heidelberg in 1991 and his second in Stuttgart in 1994, earned his doctorate from the German University of Administrative Sciences in Speyer in 1996, and completed his habilitation there in 1998. He clerked at the Federal Constitutional Court, worked at the Federal Ministry of the Interior, and held professorships at Ludwig Maximilian University Munich, European University Viadrina, and, from 2014, the University of Bayreuth, with a visiting professorship at Trinity College Dublin, before his appointment to the constitutional court.
