Diana Kovacheva is a Bulgarian lawyer and public official born on 16 July 1975 in Sofia. She was a researcher at the Institute for Legal Sciences of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences from 2000 to 2001, served as executive director of Transparency International Bulgaria from 2002 to 2011, and was Bulgaria's Minister of Justice under Prime Minister Boyko Borisov from November 2011 to February 2013. She later served as Bulgaria's National Ombudswoman from September 2019 to April 2024, and assumed office as Bulgaria's judge at the European Court of Human Rights on 13 April 2024.
