Desiree Patricia Bernard (2 March 1939 to 28 March 2024) was a Guyanese lawyer and jurist, born in Georgetown, British Guiana. She became the country's first female judge of the High Court in 1980 and first female Justice of Appeal of the Supreme Court in 1992, was appointed Chief Justice of Guyana in 1996 and Chancellor of the Judiciary of Guyana in 2001, and served as a judge of the Caribbean Court of Justice from 2005 to 2014. In 2014 she was appointed to the Bermuda Court of Appeal. She held a Bachelor of Laws from the University of London.
