David Hayton is a British barrister and academic lawyer who served as a judge of the Caribbean Court of Justice from its establishment in 2005 until his retirement in July 2019. Before his judicial appointment he taught law at King's College London from 1987 to 2005 and held a fellowship at Jesus College, Cambridge, building a reputation as a leading scholar of English trust law; he co-authored the standard reference work Underhill and Hayton's Law of Trusts and Trustees.
