Chan Sek Keong, born November 5, 1937, in Ipoh, Malaya, is a Singaporean jurist who served as Chief Justice of Singapore from 2006 to 2012, having earlier served as the country's third Attorney General from 1992 to 2006. He was a Judicial Commissioner from 1986 to 1988 and a Supreme Court judge from 1988 to 1992 before becoming Attorney General. Appointed Chief Justice by President S. R. Nathan, he succeeded Yong Pung How and was in turn succeeded by Sundaresh Menon. In 2009 he received the International Jurists Award, becoming the first Asian jurist to receive it, and in 2013 he became the National University of Singapore's first Distinguished Fellow.
