Carmen Lucia Antunes Rocha, born in 1954, is a Brazilian jurist who has served as a Justice of the Supreme Federal Court since 2006, the second woman to join the court, and as its President from 2016 to 2018. A professor of constitutional law at the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais before her appointment, nominated by President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, she has also served as President of the Superior Electoral Court. Her work on the court has been marked by rigor in prosecuting corruption cases and a firm stance on women rights.
