Muhammad Bashir Jehangiri Swati (1 February 1937 to 13 April 2020) was the seventeenth Chief Justice of Pakistan, appointed by Pervez Musharraf and serving a brief 24 day tenure from 7 to 31 January 2002. Born in Mansehra, he brought some twenty years of law practice at the Peshawar High Court and the Supreme Court to the bench, having earlier served as Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court. He was succeeded as Chief Justice by Sheikh Riaz Ahmad.
