Atto of Vercelli (c. 885-961) was a Lombard bishop of Vercelli from 924 who also served as Grand Chancellor to Hugh of Provence and Lothar II, both kings of Italy. Alongside his pastoral work and his campaign against ecclesial corruption, he compiled the Capitulare, a collection of canon law drawn from his own diocese and augmented with material from the False Decretals and his own additions to ecclesiastical law, alongside other writings including the Polypticum on the morality of his day and De pressuris ecclesiasticis on ecclesiastical authority.
