Astrid Wallrabenstein is a German judge born in Munster in 1969 who has served as a justice of the Second Senate of the Federal Constitutional Court since June 2020. She studied law in Munster and Freiburg, earned her doctorate at Justus Liebig University Giessen in 1999 with a dissertation on concepts of citizenship under the Basic Law, and completed her habilitation there in 2008. She practiced law, held a professorship at the University of Bielefeld, then a professorship in public and social law at Goethe University Frankfurt from 2010, sat as a judge on the Darmstadt Higher Social Court, and was a visiting scholar at the University of Pennsylvania before her appointment to the constitutional court.
