Anthony Thysius the Younger (about 1603 to 1665) was a Dutch jurist, historian, librarian and rhetorician who earned his doctorate in law at Leiden University in 1634 and moved from lecturing in poetry to lecturing in law there from 1639, becoming associate professor of law in 1663. He also served as the librarian of Leiden University from 1655, reorganizing its collection after years of neglect, was appointed historian of the States of Holland in 1658, and served as rector of Leiden University in 1658 and 1659.
