Abdul Majid Cockar was a Kenyan lawyer and judge who served as the ninth Chief Justice of Kenya from 1994 to 1997, succeeding Fred Kwasi Apaloo and preceding Zacchaeus Chesoni. Born on 3 February 1923 in Amritsar, Punjab, British India, he earlier served as a Senior Resident Magistrate and as a judge of the High Court and Court of Appeal of Kenya. He published a memoir, Doings, Non-doings and Mis-doings, in 2012 and died on 31 October 2016 in Nairobi.
