Robert Bannatyne Finlay, 1st Viscount Finlay (1842 to 1929) was a British barrister and politician of Scottish origin who served as Lord Chancellor of Great Britain from 1916 to 1919 in David Lloyd George's coalition government. He practiced as a barrister, took silk as a Queen's Counsel in 1882, and held the offices of Solicitor General and Attorney General for England and Wales before becoming Lord Chancellor. He represented the British Empire in international arbitrations and served as a judge of the Permanent Court of International Justice established by the League of Nations, and he represented the White Star Line at the British inquiry into the sinking of the Titanic in 1912.
