Supreme Court of Justice of Bolivia

Supreme and Highest Courts of Last Resort

The Supreme Court of Justice of Bolivia is the highest court of ordinary jurisdiction under the Constitution. Its magistrates are elected by universal suffrage. The prohibitions and incompatibilities applied to the magistrates of the Supreme Court of Justice are the same as those applied to public servants, and the judicial functions of the court are exercised in an exclusive manner. The Constitution names the members of the Supreme Court together with those of the Pluri-National Constitutional Court and the Administrative Control of Justice in its provision on members who have committed crimes in the exercise of their functions.
