The Supreme Court of Fiji is the final appeal court under the Constitution of Fiji. It consists of the Chief Justice, who is the President of the Supreme Court, and such other Judges as are appointed as Judges of the Supreme Court to serve as the occasion requires. An appeal may not be brought to it from a final judgment of the Court of Appeal unless the Supreme Court grants leave to appeal. In the exercise of its appellate jurisdiction it may review, vary, set aside or affirm decisions or orders of the Court of Appeal, or make any other order necessary for the administration of justice, including an order for a new trial or for costs. Cabinet may seek an opinion from it on the interpretation or application of the Constitution.
