The Community Court of Justice of the Economic Community of West African States, known as the ECOWAS Court of Justice, is the judicial body of the West African regional community, with a college of five judges who elect the President and Vice-President. On Monday 14 October 2024 the judges elected Justice Ricardo Claudio Monteiro Goncalves of Cabo Verde President for a two-year term, with Justice Sengu Mohamed Koroma of Sierra Leone as Vice-President, succeeding Justice Edward Amoako Asante who had led the Court for six years from 31 July 2018. The Court has its seat in Abuja, Nigeria.
