Ohio Courts of Common Pleas

The Ohio Courts of Common Pleas are the trial courts of the state court system of Ohio, serving as the foundational trial-level courts with broad jurisdiction across the state. They handle criminal felony cases, civil disputes exceeding 15,000 dollars, and real estate matters, and they operate through specialized divisions for general, domestic relations, juvenile and probate matters, addressing everything from divorce and child custody to juvenile delinquency and the administration of estates.
