The administrative and regulatory instruments this atlas holds: financial and securities regulation, data privacy and protection law, competition and antitrust law, environmental and chemical regulation, health, safety, employment and consumer protection, and administrative process, land, and communications regulation, following the standard administrative-law distinction between economic and social regulation with a dedicated cluster for modern data-privacy law. A regulation differs from a statute or act in this atlas: a statute is typically enacted by a legislature, a regulation is typically promulgated by an administrative body exercising delegated authority, and each is recorded and grouped separately even where the two govern the same subject.
