The judicial and prosecutorial bodies this atlas records: constitutional courts, supreme and highest courts of last resort, trial and first-instance courts, international and supranational tribunals, religious and customary courts, and prosecutorial and investigative offices, a standard functional classification of court types rather than a list by country or era. This band excludes the individual judges who sit on these courts, who are recorded under Jurists and linked back to the court or courts they served, and it excludes the cases a court decided, which are recorded under Landmark Cases and linked to the deciding court by relationship.

View At A Past Year
