Court of Cassation of Egypt

The Court of Cassation is the highest ordinary court in Egypt, sitting at the apex of the country judicial hierarchy since its creation in 1931 and seated in Cairo. It hears challenges to lower court verdicts brought by parties or the public prosecution, examines lawsuits concerning judges own actions, rules on requests for reparation over violated verdicts, and works to provide a uniform interpretation and application of the law across Egypt courts.
