Constitution of Grenada

Grenada's constitutional framework rests on the Grenada Constitution Order 1973, adopted as the country gained independence from the United Kingdom, and establishes a constitutional monarchy with a bicameral Parliament under which citizens are guaranteed a wide range of civil and political rights. The order was suspended on 25 March 1979 amid that year's revolution; constitutional government was later restored, and a 2018 referendum put further amendments to voters, including changes concerning the country's Supreme Court arrangements.
