Indigenous Australian customary law, also called Indigenous Australian customary lore, refers to the legal systems and practices belonging uniquely to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of Australia. It governs matters of kinship, land, ceremony and dispute resolution according to traditions maintained by particular communities, existing alongside the introduced Australian common law system.
