Hanbali School Jurists gathers the scholars of the Hanbali school of Sunni Islamic law, founded on the teaching of Ahmad ibn Hanbal in ninth century Baghdad and historically the most textually conservative of the four surviving Sunni schools, relying closely on hadith and the practice of the earliest generations of Muslims over analogical reasoning. The school became the basis of Saudi Arabian legal practice through its later Wahhabi and Salafi revivalist offshoots.
