Abbo of Fleury (about 945 to 1004) was a Benedictine monk and abbot of Fleury Abbey near Orleans in France. Educated in Paris and Reims, and later a teacher at Ramsey Abbey in England from 985 to 987, he became a central figure in the monastic reform movement of the late tenth century in both France and England. Among his scholarly works, alongside writing on mathematics, philosophy and astronomy, he compiled a Collectio Canonum, a collection of church law with his own clarifications on points of canon law. He died in 1004 at the monastery of La Reole in Gascony. This description is adapted from Wikipedia contributors under CC BY-SA 4.0; changes were made. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/
