Yogesh Kumar Sabharwal (1942 to 2015) was the thirty-sixth Chief Justice of India, serving from November 2005 to January 2007. He worked as an advocate for Indian Railways and the Delhi administration before becoming an additional judge of the Delhi High Court in 1986, Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court in 1999, and a judge of the Supreme Court of India in 2000. He was sworn in as Chief Justice by President A. P. J. Abdul Kalam and retired upon reaching the mandatory age of 65.
