Xue Hanqin was born on September 15, 1955 and is a Chinese jurist at the International Court of Justice, elected on June 29, 2010 to fill the vacancy created by Shi Jiuyongs resignation. She is the fifth Chinese judge to serve on the court and the third representing the Peoples Republic of China, and is one of five female judges serving on the International Court of Justice. Re-elected to the court in 2011 and 2020, her term is set to expire on February 5, 2030, and on February 6, 2018 she was elected Vice President of the International Court of Justice for a three year term.
