William Nairne Clark lived from 1804 to 1854 and was a public notary and publisher active in the Swan River Colony and Tasmanian settlements of colonial Australia. Born in Coupar Angus, Perthshire, Scotland, he was educated by his great-uncle, the advocate and judge William Nairne, Lord Dunsinane, and studied law before being appointed a lifelong public notary. He is also remembered for publishing an early list of the birds of southwest Australia.
