Veronica Gomez is an Argentine jurist who was elected a judge of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights by the OAS General Assembly in November 2021 and took office in January 2022. She previously served as a senior specialist at the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights from 1998 to 2009 and advised the Argentine state before the United Nations Human Rights Council from 2010 to 2012. Since 2011 she has been a professor at the Universidad Nacional de San Martin, and in 2019 she was elected President of the Global Campus of Human Rights, a network of universities headquartered in Italy.
