Taqi al-Din al-Fasi (1373-1429) was an Arab Muslim scholar who served as a Maliki qadi, or judge, in Mecca, alongside work as a hadith scholar, jurist, historian and genealogist. He is best known for his roughly eighteen-volume history of Mecca, Al-Iqd al-Thamin fi Tarikh al-Balad al-Amin, and for writing on the genealogies of several Arab tribes of Tihamah.
