Maria del Socorro Flores Liera is a Mexican lawyer and diplomat who became the first Mexican woman to serve as a judge of the International Criminal Court when she was sworn in on 10 March 2021. Born in 1965, she began her diplomatic career in 1992 with Mexico Secretariat of Foreign Affairs, rising to Director of International Law and heading several directorates, and served as Mexico Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office at Geneva from 2017 to 2021 before her ICC appointment.
