Sebastian Raduletu is a Romanian jurist born on 16 August 1975 in Cluj-Napoca. He earned a law degree from the University of Craiova in 1997 and a doctorate in law there in 2000, later completing a masters in international human rights law at the University of Oxford from 2012 to 2014 and a second doctorate in law at Oxford in 2023. From 1998 to 2023 he practiced as a lawyer specializing in criminal law and domestic and international human rights law, also working at the Registry of the European Court of Human Rights in 2001 and 2002 and serving as counselor to Romanias Minister of Justice in 2008; he was on the List of Counsel of the International Criminal Court from 2018 to 2023. He was elected Romanias judge at the European Court of Human Rights, succeeding Iulia Motoc, and has served as national judge since 3 July 2023.
