Sir Samuel Walker Griffith (1845 to 1920) was an Australian judge and politician who served as the inaugural Chief Justice of the High Court of Australia from 1903 to 1919. He played a key role in drafting the Australian Constitution and had earlier served as Chief Justice of Queensland and twice as Premier of Queensland.
